Winemaker's Notes

For the first time, our flagship wine takes a slight detour from the Right Bank Bordeaux style it has traditionally been. Also, for the first time, a new world cultivar (Chambourcin) makes its first appearance in the blend bringing with it a new wonderful array of alpine characteristics. Claim #22 opens with fresh woodsy aromas of cedar and wintergreen with undertones of mulling spice and blueberry tea. Dark fruits of brambleberry and black currants carry through on the palate alongside zippy, firm tannins to create the most lively blend of Vin '59 to date.
